Color Match 1.0 Help File

Hopefully this will explain the various functions of the color match tool.

Search Method
This setting will determine whether you will be searching based on a specific paint color, or if you will be looking based on an RGB color.

Search Parameters
If you are searching by paint lines, you need to select the line you want to select your source color from. Following that selection click the Submit Query button. The page will refresh and display the paint colors in that line.

HEX RGB Input
If you decide to use the RGB query, you need to enter in your RGB color choice here. The format is HEX based, like you would use for web programming, but you do not use the leading # symbol (enter EFEFEF as opposed to #EFEFEF).

Choose Color
When you are searching by paint color, you will want to select your source color from this section.

Color Match Configuration
Depending on what you are looking for, you can narrow down your search results using these options.
Color Range - Color range determines how close your matches will be limited to. The larger the number the more matches will be returned.
Paint Type - By default, it searches all paint lines. You can limit your search to only return the paint types you are looking for. It also allows for multiple selections.
Paint Lines - By default, it searches all paint lines. However you can search a single line or as many as you want by holding Ctrl while clicking on your selections.
